Worcester Bosch intends to launch an exclusive new Clean Heat Cashback Pledge to assist installers and customers alike with the switch to Bosch electrified heat pumps and hybrid systems.

The government’s proposed Clean Heat Market Mechanism (CHMM), which will penalise boiler producers based on boiler sales in an effort to promote the use of heat pumps, will be implemented concurrently with the introduction of the Clean Heat Cashback Pledge. Worcester Bosch will start giving payback to customers who decide to invest in a Bosch heat pump or hybrid system, as well as extra cashback to installers, from April 1, 2024, if the CHMM is passed into law as outlined in the present government proposals.

Under Worcester Bosch’s Clean Heat Cashback Pledge, homeowners and landlords who pick a Bosch heat pump and complete a CHMM-qualified installation on or after April 1, 2024, can get up to £2,500 in cashback. Those who choose a Bosch hybrid system can receive up to £1,000 in compensation. Up until March 31, 2025, qualifying installations may apply for the Pledge.

Worcester Bosch plans to motivate and push consumers to switch from conventional heating systems to Bosch heat pumps by using any funds obtained from the related CHMM charge we have imposed on boiler sales. In addition to the government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme Grants (worth up to £7,500) on heat pumps, there will be a Clean Heat Cashback Pledge.

According to the company, installers will also profit from the Pledge, since each qualified heat pump or hybrid installation will earn them a £500 refund, supporting their vital role.

The date and method of CHMM’s legal implementation have not yet been verified by the government. The specifics of Worcester Bosch’s Clean Heat Cashback Pledge will be verified after the government has implemented the CHMM. The money available under Worcester Bosch’s Clean Heat Cashback Pledge will be refunded proportionately if the government’s final enacted law reduces the CHMM fines that manufacturers must pay. In the event that Worcester Bosch is exempt from CHMM sanctions or if CHMM is not enacted into law, the Clean Heat Cashback Pledge will be unavailable.

After the government confirms the final parameters of CHMM, Worcester Bosch will publish the terms and conditions and qualifying requirements for the Clean Heat Cashback Pledge. As of now, the Clean Heat Cashback Pledge is closed.
